Because I'm obsessive and perhaps not unlike a proud mom with a monthly series at a bar instead of a real baby, I've been gushing about Wednesday night's one-year-anniversary show, How I Learned I Might Be Obsessed, for days.
Just a few finer points of the evening: ex-gay christian conference infiltrator Joel Derfner knitting a rainbow penis cozy in the readers' booth, possibly obsessive masturbator Christen Clifford and her delectable shoulders, learning so much more than you ever thought you would about competitive eaters and the intriguing world of Erin Bradley, Tracy Rowland striking a chord with every woman in the room (and, I suspect, more than a few men), and the dapper Jeff Simmermon on Al Sharpton, live chickens and the best idea for a band ever.
We all learned so much together! I will spare you too much mush and only say that if you were there, you are no doubt living your best life as a result. If you weren't there, you've got some stuff to work on.
Thank you to everyone who packed the house this month, the multi-talented readers, and the fine, hard working folks at Happy Ending.
Do join us next month on February 24th for How I Learned to Lie, Cheat or Steal. Tell your friends. Get there early. It's gonna be good. Stay tuned right here or on the Facebooks for details, and/or join the mailing list. (So many options!)
Love, love, love,
Blaise
