The How I Learned Series features writers, storytellers, comedians, and other raconteurs holding forth on a different theme. It all happens every last Wednesday of the month, and sometimes more than that, which basically means you will have the best night of your life on those nights, repeatedly.
Blaise Allysen Kearsley is a Brooklyn based writer, storyteller, and sometime photographer, as well as the creator, producer, and host of the How I Learned Series. She also does some other stuff too. She has performed at The Moth, RISK!, Mortified, Literary Death Match, and many other shows. Her writing has been published in Midnight Breakfast, VICE, The Weeklings, The Nervous Breakdown, two anthologies, and in several other places a long time ago, which are perhaps not worth mentioning by name. One time, she was awarded a month-long writing fellowship in Vermont where she got electrocuted and maybe almost killed a horse. Visit her at your own risk at www.bazima.com.
