Since 2009, How I Learned has featured some of the best live storytelling, comedy, and readings in New York City. It all happens a couple of times a year, and sometimes more than that, which basically means you'll have the best night of you life on those nights, repeatedly.

SOMETHING'S COMING

Hillary Rea on "How I Learned
The Language of Love" at Union Hall
Hey, beautifuls! We had a really fun show last month at Union Hall in Brooklyn, even though we are still grieving over the loss of Happy Ending. Did you know that the five stages of grief ARE NOT LINEAR? Anyway, I just wanted to thank those of you who came out to see us at Union Hall!

I also want to tell all of you that there is no show this month, but don't get sad-faced about it because we've got something special planned. On NOVEMBER 18TH, we're doing a special one-off show at Housing Works Bookstore and Cafe in SoHo. It's a fundraiser, but it's free. That means if you buy a lot of drinks, you'll really be helping New Yorkers with AIDS, which is what Housing Works does. You get to be drunk and charitable.

The show will be a special How I Learned and Best In Show hybrid--part curated show, part slam--hosted by me, and also hosted by Brad Lawrence. There's so much going on. It's gonna be great. Save the date for super fun times with us and a lot of other people. We'll hear great stories and drink our way to philanthropy.

Looking forward to seeing you! --xo Blaise
