This was an eerie read. There were two unrelated girls who were separately abducted and their remains found within the same month in 1990, in San Antonio, Texas when my family lived there. I can remember both of their faces and how scared I felt to walk to school some days.
What is also strangely similar is that I received a phone call as a kid, one day before school. It was a creep, of course, saying gross things to a child. How did he know a little girl lived here? How did he know I would pick up? I remember his voice and I remember lying that my dad was still home and hadn’t left for work yet, then I hung up. I got my mom to take me to school that day instead of walking.
I’m not suggesting any tangible connection to Amy’s abduction. Just some strange experience parallels for me.
