Oh, how I wept during this whole essay. My children are in college, and I still feel the truth of my experience in your writing. So many feelings fade, but the silenced challenges of motherhood still rise up in me, and even when they settle, they are part of my bones. This is so powerful. Thank you.

This is a beautifully written and powerful account of what it feels like to go through post-partum depression, something I also experienced. Thank you for shedding some light on a subject that is not discussed enough.

It definitely impacts way more than we realize. I’m hoping more people will speak out about it!

Came across this piece in my Substack feed and sheesh. Thank you for sharing. I felt every word, especially “We learn to bleed more quietly.” I don’t bleed quietly anymore and hope other women find the courage to not bleed quietly too.

So many people bleed quietly and no one ever knows! My hope is that if we talk or write about it, we will all realize we aren’t alone.

Very powerful and that image of you with the pile of kids surrounding you was so touching. ❤️🙏🏼

I've shared it with 3 mothers I know, it resonates. One was in tears.

Caregivers don't either. Sometimes, I feel like it's exhausting being a woman. 😢

Yes, caregivers too! It can be exhausting for sure.
